Wiser 03:53
Ten years since you left me stranded Ten years since you broke my heart Ten years since that laundromat Ten years since your depart Ten years since my friends betrayed me Ten years since they fell for you Ten years since I lost my squad Ten years since I looked like a fool After all the hell you put me through and the pain you stabbed into my back after growin' older, and growin' better still I took you back I thought I was wiser I thought I was wiser I thought I was wiser I thought I was wiser Six year since my failed nuptuals Five years since I became you I ran around and I tore him down I fell in love with a different few After all the hell you put me through and the pain you stabbed into my back Well, you taught me well, I'm no better than you still he took me back I thought I was wiser I thought I was wiser I thought I was wiser I thought I was wiser Three years since I said I'd leave because he didn't believe in me he didn't believe in me singin' my songs and he loved to watch me need Three years since I left that house Three years since I have grown But I still guilt about his pains and his cries that night when he slept on that cold floor alone After all the hell you put him through and the pain you stabbed into his back Well I'm still growin older I'm still growin better and I'm never, never goin' back And now I am wiser And now I am wiser And now I am wiser And now I am wiser Ten years since you left me stranded Ten years since you broke my heart Ten years since that laundromat Ten years since your depart

Your Lies 03:20
I see you talkin' I don't even know your name I see you walkin' but I see you walk away You know I can see right through Your lies (I can see right through) Your lies (oh I can see right through) If we could wander through the stars all day Just let me ponder dancin' through the milky way You know I can see right through Your lies (I can see right through) Your lies (oh I can see right through) I'll stop pretending that you'll give me a chance you won't surrender so we'll have to stop this dance You know I can see right through Your lies (I can see right through) Your lies (oh I can see right through) Your lies (oh I can see right through) Your lies (oh I can see right through)

On the Line 08:08
Get Back on the Line! You know I'm gonna fall, just give it time. This is who I am, if you don't like it, you can be the better man. Get Back on the Line! You know I'm gonna fall, just give it time. This is who I am, if you don't like it, you can be the better man. Get Back on the Line! You know I'm gonna fall, just give it time. This is who I am, if you don't like it, you can be the better man. Hold me tight, I might make it through the night Tomorrow I will get back on the line Whoa, long nights They disappear into the lies we tell each other daily If you hold me tight, I might make it through the night Tomorrow I will get back on the line Whoa, long nights They disappear into the lies they tell each other daily If you hold me tight, I might make it through the night Tomorrow I will get back on the line Get Back on the Line! You know I'm gonna fall, just give it time. This is who I am, if you don't like it, you can be the better man. Get Back on the Line! You know I'm gonna fall, just give it time. This is who I am, if you don't like it, you can be the better man.

Here on the side of the road Here on the side of the road Here on the side of the road my thoughts, I try to decode The whole time, right, I'm thinking of you if you see me, please don't leave me here by the side of the road Here on the side of the road Here on the side of the road Here on the side of the road thumbs up, a long way to go My home waits 60 miles away if you see me, please don't leave me here by the side of the road Here on the side of the road Here on the side of the road (please don't leave me) Here on the side of the road (please don't leave me) Here on the side of the road

Why don't you touch me anymore? Why don't you touch me anymore? This plea, I must implore, am I that easy to ignore? Oh whoa, Oh baby why don't you touch me anymore? Why don't you squeeze me at night? Give me my shoulder a little bite? It's not that I'm looking for a fight, I wanna know if you feel alright. Oh, whoa, Oh baby why don't you squeeze me at night? Ooh Somethin' round here has changed can you give me an alibi? Why are you acting so unphased? Can you please just tell me why, why, why? Whoa Why don't you hold me anymore? Don't you remember how you did before? I'm ready to scream and roar Oh whoa, Oh baby why don't you hold me anymore? Ooh Somethin' round here has changed can you give me an alibi? Why are you acting so unphased? Can you please just tell me why, why, why? Why don't you kiss me anymore? Why don't you kiss me anymore? Whoa, baby I'm halfway out the door I beg you to implore I'm ready to scream and roar I'm cravin' you like a carnivore Oh baby baby, why why why ooh Why don't you love me anymore?

Someday 04:43
Someday you're gonna have to justify How you treated me Someday you're gonna have to justify How you treated me Nothin' but time, but you can't wait open your heart, it won't take that long your attitude has sealed your own fate you're always leavin' I'm always wrong Someday, someday Someday you're gonna have to justify How you treated me Someday you're gonna have to justify How you treated me Took a walk down by the riverfront to sing my song and try to ring my rhyme why I don't have is what you always want you did the crime, I did the time Someday, someday Someday, someday Someday you're gonna have to justify How you treated me Someday you're gonna have to justify How you treated me All along I was the only one who'd ever though we'd get that far what I don't have is what you always want I had a feeling you wrote this song Someday, someday Someday, someday

Check Engine 02:25
Hey! Oh what's that rattle, under my car? I hope that I don't have to drive very far to see the look on your face when I get down to your place oh honey, honey I don't think I can make it very far. It's been ten years now since I've been broke And I'm always shacked up with this ungrateful bloke and I work all day just to try and get my pay whoa, darlin darlin I don't think I can break free from this yoke Woo! Somethin's gotta change, I gotta love myself better but I don't know where to start I got that money in my pocket, I will fly like a rocket even if I miss I'll land among the stars Still what's that rattle, under my car? I hope my, my destination isn't far Oh lord, I can't break down on that sketchy, sketchy side of town whoa baby I think I - I'll pull over at the bar. Somethin's gotta change, I gotta love myself better but I don't know where to start I got that money in my pocket, I will fly! Hey! Oh, what's that rattle, under my car? I hope my, my destination isn't far Oh lord, I can't break down on that sketchy, sketchy side of town whoa baby I think I I'll pull over at the bar

about

JoJo Green’s debut album, The Line, showcases music that expresses struggle but doesn’t hang its head; instead, its expression exemplifies fun, yet daring depth. The Line is a collection of progressive funk-jazz rock-pop, or “Pop Fusion” (a unique genre dubbed by the band) presenting the virtuosity of each musician. During the social distancing period accompanying early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, this band’s energetic, powerhouse live show was halted, and they pressed forward to record a large majority of this album distanced, separately because absolutely nothing could stop this fantastic music from releasing. You’d never know it by the tightness and cohesion to their sound, and their intuitive counterpoint, like a well-oiled machine.
